On November 29, the UW Wausau Campus Foundation conducted its third annual successful GivingTuesday fundraising campaign with strong support from corporate and individual donors. The raised funds are for local scholarships and other support for the Wausau campus of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

“UWSP-Wausau students need our help to offset the costs of tuition,” said Foundation president, Ryan Gallagher. “Many of our students are first generation and non-traditional, working several jobs to pay for college. They see higher education as a means to a better future. Our goal for GivingTuesday is to increase support for students and the Wausau campus so that more students can reach their potential.”

The Foundation exists to support students, faculty and the Wausau campus. “Your GivingTuesday gift of any amount will help students afford a high-quality UW education locally,” he said. “Businesses and alumni know first-hand the importance and value of our campus to students and to the community. In making a gift, we are able to show our pride and give back by helping others succeed.”
