​Distinguished Faculty Society

A $1,000 lifetime membership (payable over 3 years if so desired) helps establish a legacy that recognizes, encourages, supports and retains outstanding faculty. Earnings on this endowed fund are used to underwrite an annual fellowship, with the recipient being named a Fellow of the Society. Members are invited to attend an annual reception and dinner, held in the fall, the highlight of which is a brief presentation by the winner of the previous year’s award. The newly selected Fellow is introduced to the members. The Foundation has now established an endowment for the Distinguished Faculty Society in excess of $100,000.

To become lifelong members of the Distinguished Faculty Society of the UW-Stevens Point at Wausau, a minimum one–time contribution of $1,000 per individual or couple is required.
