Your Impact
As a result of your generosity, the UW Wausau Campus has transformed the lives of students, faculty and the Greater Wausau community. Your donations have impacted over 2000 students since 1960 providing them the opportunity to succeed in the classroom and succeed in life.
Locally, each dollar of state investment in the UW Wausau Campus generated $42 in economic activity, benefitting all stakeholders and the community at large. The estimated direct and indirect economic impact of the UW Wausau Campus is $50.7 million.
Thank you for your positive impact on this community and for helping to transform the lives of so many.
Here's a snapshot of awards this year.
Students
Scholarships and other funding made possible by donor contributions to the foundation help students pay for their education, freeing them to focus on their studies.
“I would like to give my sincere thanks to the Foundation and the scholarship selection committee. It is so inspiring to be supported by my community in this way; freeing me up to focus on the difficult task of learning. The financial stress of school has been minimized through the generosity of your foundation.”
Lucas Hintz, UWSP student
Faculty
Grants made to faculty for professional development ensure we retain an engaged and highly prepared cadre of outstanding educators dedicated to student academic success.
“I am so grateful for the support of the UW Wausau Campus Foundation, which has buoyed me through a period of revising, editing, and completing my novel Labor Day. The support of the foundation has helped keep me going. I am sharing everything I have learned with my students with similar aspirations.”
Jill Stukenberg, assistant professor of English
2018-19 Distinguished Faculty Society award winner
